This was checked properly tonight rather than assumed, because several "it cannot be done" conclusions today turned out to be wrong.
creditCost, and reading its definition it is the cost of one image generation, not a remaining balance._tw_live_2026-08-07.py and read the spec, not guess.patch appears 0 times in the specification and no endpoint offers the PATCH method. A scheduled pin genuinely cannot be edited. Changing one means delete and recreate, which costs two credits and refunds nothing. Pinterest is a search engine that looks like a scrapbook. Somebody types libra necklace, sees a picture, saves it, and comes back weeks later to buy. Our job is to have the right picture already sitting on the right shelf when they search.

The 45 day figure is our own convention, not a Pinterest rule. Pinterest has never published a lead time claim of any kind. What is evidenced is the demand curve, not the lead time. Kept because leading Libra now is clearly right, but it should stop being quoted as though Pinterest said it.
One square is one product. Gold means somebody wrote a pin for it. Pale means nobody has.
The grid above is what is scheduled. This one is what has already been published by hand, read from Pinterest just now. They answer different questions and both are worth looking at.

One credit buys one scheduled pin on one board. The credit is charged when the pin is created, not when it publishes, and deleting a pin refunds nothing. That is why nothing gets made until the words are approved.
Last period all 400 were spent and roughly 317 of them went on pins that were then deleted, which recovered nothing. That single mechanic is the reason this plan exists.
The bar is searches per competing seller. Long bar means lots of people looking and few shops answering. That is where a new shop can actually be found.
Where these came from, and what is shaky. soundwave 702 / 50 and inital 1,378 / 836 are confirmed in the master sheet and in the heartbeat research, 23 June and 7 Aug. The 11 keywords with real volume and zero competitors, 8 of them initial necklaces, reproduce exactly off the master sheet. ekg is the one to correct: 707 is the cached June figure, the live 7 Aug read is 803. Competition 374 is right either way. eRank returns byte identical figures for ekg necklace and custom heartbeat necklace, so it is modelling that family rather than measuring it. And soundwave at 14.0 is the best ratio in the heartbeat research but the third best in the full bank, behind mini penny necklace at 52.2 and regina george initial necklace at 39.0. The "two home runs" on rings could not be reproduced under our own locked home run definition of 500 plus searches, under 3,000 competition, KD 20 or under.

The score is ours, recomputed tonight straight from the live queue using the weights in the Pin rubric tab. It runs 78 to 100, mean 89.3, and it places the same six pins at the bottom as the 7 August audit did. That audit published a mean of 91.4 on a slightly gentler scale; the ranking agrees, the absolute numbers sit about two points lower here. Nothing on this page was written to Pinterest, Tailwind, Shopify or the theme, and no credit was spent.
Spend 290 of the 400 credits over 17 weeks, hold 110 back, and never create a pin until you have approved its words in a sheet first.
The last 400 credits bought 271 pins and 194 of them were deleted. That was not bad luck. Tailwind charges the credit the moment a pin is created, there is no way to edit a pin afterwards, and deleting one refunds nothing. So a pin with a weak title can only be fixed by paying a second credit. Writing first and creating second is the entire fix, and it costs nothing.
If you approve, the first thing built is a spreadsheet of pin copy for your review, not a pin.

Proven empirically on 7 Aug: a balance of 272 produced exactly 272 successful creations despite roughly 123 deletions in between, then returned 402 insufficient_credits. Source: PINTEREST-EXECUTION-2026-08-07-EVENING.md §10.
Every pin is drafted in a review sheet with six columns — image, title, description, alt text, destination link, board — plus a rubric score out of 100. You read it on your phone, strike out what you dislike, and only then does anything get created. Draft, review, approve, create once.
Format: one Google Sheet, one row per pin, sorted by send date, with a thumbnail column. A CSV works too but the thumbnails are what let you judge it in thirty seconds.
The last sweep declared the queue clean at zero text overlay. It reached that by fingerprint-matching every image against spec-card designs it already knew about. Tonight I downloaded all 77 live queue images, built a contact sheet and looked at them. Eight carry baked-in text, including a card printing "CANCER, June 21 to July 22, Nurturing, Intuitive, Loyal" and a full "How to Personalize" graphic with an Add to Cart button drawn on it.
Fingerprint matching can only find designs somebody has already catalogued. From now on the overlay check is done by eye, on a contact sheet, and it takes two minutes. The eight are listed on the rubric page.
Her profile is built like a catalogue, not a diary. Seventeen boards, every one prefixed with a pipe character so they read as one designed system: | Rings, | Gift Guide, | Jewelry Stacking Inspo, | Bridal Jewelry Inspiration, | Find Your Style, | Hoops & Earrings, | Charm Bar. Her smallest board holds 7 pins. She keeps no empty boards at all. Her pin titles run a fixed formula, keyword first, roughly 40 to 60 characters. Her descriptions run 420 to 550 characters in four parts and end with a literal "Save this look for your next ___". No hashtags anywhere. Prices appear automatically from the catalogue rather than being typed into the copy.
The board census, pin counts and copy formulas above were read off her live profile logged-in on 6 Aug 2026, one day ago. A live re-read tonight timed out, so I have not re-verified it this evening and I am not going to pretend otherwise. Two errors in that earlier pass have already been caught and are corrected here: she does not run large serif headline pins, and susabella is a private user rather than the jewelry brand.

The coverage matrix from the parallel session had not landed on disk when I checked, so I built it here from the live catalogue export and the live Tailwind queue rather than duplicating a wait. If theirs lands and disagrees, theirs should be reconciled against this.
All 88 products already have automatic product pins. The Shopify feed pushes 260 variants into the Pinterest catalogue every 24 hours and Pinterest builds a pin per image, roughly 2,844 of them, sitting on the Products board. That board produced 4,760 of our 5,275 impressions last period. Nothing is invisible. So "zero-pin coverage" does not mean a product is missing from Pinterest. It means we have not written a keyworded, board-filed pin for it.

I said earlier we had no ring keyword. We do — it was sitting in our cached eRank bank, and reading it cost zero live searches.

So: build the ring line on engraved signet ring, not on anything with "zodiac" in it. That single choice is the difference between KD 36 and KD 100. And initial signet ring at 1,083 searches, 2,588 competitors and KD 19 is a product we do not make and probably should — we already sell both initials and signet rings.

Every prior document allocated pins to Sagittarius and Capricorn on the season clock alone, with no demand evidence of any kind. They were in the bank: Sagittarius necklace 294 searches, 2,759 competitors, KD 49. Capricorn necklace 395 searches, 2,750 competitors, KD 42. Both real, both modest, both more winnable than the zodiac head term at KD 72. Phase 5 stands.

If the honest answer is that 400 credits cannot cover everything, this is it: they can, and they should not. 400 credits over 88 products is 4.5 pins each. Spending 4.5 pins on july-birth-flower-necklace-heart at KD 89 buys nothing. The constraint is not credits — it is that a fifth of the catalogue sits on keywords nobody searches.
The 18 we leave: the nine dead birth-flower months in both bar and heart form. They keep their automatic catalogue pins, so they remain buyable, they just do not get a hand-written pin. Everything else gets covered, including all 23 unpinned rings once they are routed through engraved signet ring.

The short version, in weight order: the destination link must resolve to the right product, the pin must be product-tagged so the price appears, the image must be a live Shopify photo at 2:3 with no text overlay, the title must lead with the keyword inside the first 40 characters, the description must run four parts and 420 to 550 characters, and the alt text must be written for this pin and no other.
400 credits is the entire allowance until the next reset. One credit creates one scheduled pin on one board. Saving the same pin to three boards costs three credits. At the planned 3.3 pins a day, 290 credits covers roughly 17 weeks, to early December.

Your clock is applied exactly as you set it: Libra now, Scorpio around 8 September, Sagittarius early October, Capricorn early November, each about 45 days ahead of season.
I traced it. It first appears in our verified-merchant playbook stated flatly, with no citation, and every later document repeats it as settled mechanism — "Pinterest rewards", "Pinterest needs". Pinterest has never published a lead-time claim. Its own discovery documentation names four levers: relevance, quality, freshness and domain reputation. Seasonality is not among them. The nearest real support is Sprout Social recommending seasonal content 45+ days ahead Tier 2, which is a credible third party's advice, not a study.
This matters because the same document set rejected the "24 to 48 hour fresh pin boost" claim on precisely these grounds — five blogs, zero primary sources — and rejected the "25 pins a day" limit as folklore. The 45-day rule has never had that scrutiny applied to it, and it is currently allocating real inventory.
What is genuinely evidenced is the demand curve underneath it: libra necklace runs at 400 average searches and spikes to roughly 2,400 in September eRank, not re-validated, and scorpio necklace peaks in September and November. Leading Libra now is right. The 45 specifically is a convention we invented. I am not proposing to change it — it is a reasonable convention and the cost of being early is low — but it should stop being quoted as a Pinterest rule.
You have custom heartbeat necklace at 803 searches, competition 154, difficulty 1, nobody tagging it. The competition and difficulty numbers are solid and they are the reason to build. The 803 is not: eRank returned pixel-identical curves for ekg necklace and custom heartbeat necklace — same 803, same 800 clicks, same 100% CTR, same shape — which means it is modelling the family from a bucket rather than measuring the term. Build on it. Do not quote the 803 as measured demand.
The real constraint on heartbeat is not credits, it is photography. One product means one destination link, and our own spacing rule forbids repeating a link inside 7 days. A daily heartbeat pin needs about five destinations. Creating a Heartbeat collection page solves it for free and needs no new product.
File read: Pinterest Predicts 2026 Marketing Playbook.pdf, 24 pages, added to the Ops folder at 18:53 tonight. It is Pinterest's own publication, so Tier 1 by source, but it is a marketing document and its statistics are Pinterest internal data with no external methodology.
sameAs on the live homepage still points at a stranger's Pinterest profile. The fix is written and not deployed.A pin is one picture with words attached and a link underneath. Think of a postcard. The picture is the front. The link is the address on the back. When somebody taps the picture, the link takes them somewhere.
A board is a folder that pins live in. Like a pinboard on a wall. Every pin sits in one folder. A folder has a name, and the name is important, because people search Pinterest the way they search Google.
Our profile is the page with all our folders on it. Ours is MemoryThatLasts1. A stranger who lands on it sees our folders first, not our pins.
This is the whole thing. Five steps, start to finish.
We have two kinds of pin and they work completely differently.
Our Shopify shop sends every product to Pinterest by itself, once a day. Pinterest turns each product photo into a pin and puts them all in one big folder called Products. We did not make these. We do not pay for these. They just happen.
And they are doing nearly all the work. Last period they brought 4,760 of our 5,275 views. So no product of ours is invisible on Pinterest. Every single one of the 88 is already there.
These we make by hand in Tailwind, one at a time. We choose the picture, write the title, write the description, choose the folder. Each one costs one credit. We have 400 credits.
They are worth making because the automatic ones all get dumped in one unsorted folder with whatever words Shopify happened to use. The ones we write go in a properly named folder with words people actually search for.
We have 14. Five are empty, which is the main thing to fix. Numbers are pins waiting in the queue right now.
An empty folder on a shop's Pinterest looks the way an empty shelf looks in a shop. The brand we are learning from, Caitlyn Minimalist, has 17 folders and her smallest holds 7 pins. She has no empty folders at all.

Pet Memorial Jewelry is not empty but has nothing queued, and its description currently contains a discount code that should not be there.
Because folder names are searched. Pinterest says so directly: put your keywords in your pin titles, pin descriptions, board titles and board descriptions. It also says more than a quarter of the traffic it sends from search lands on a board rather than a pin.
So "Zodiac Necklace" beats "Written In The Stars", even though the second one sounds nicer. One is a thing people type. The other is a thing nobody types.

Score the pin in the sheet, before it exists. Tailwind charges the credit at creation and a pin can never be edited afterwards, so the rubric has to run on the draft. Under 80, it does not get made.
Weights are not opinions. They are ordered by how badly the pin fails if that one thing is wrong. A broken link makes a perfect pin worth nothing. A slightly dull title costs a little reach.
Every pin in the approval sheet carries this block. Keyword numbers, why it converts, and what it does for the plan. Nothing else.

Why it converts: the pin is product-tagged, so the price and a Visit button render without us typing them — proven on our own account this week with a matched pair of tagged and untagged pins Tier 2. Pinterest's own figure for tagged scene images is 70% higher shopping intent Tier 1, vendor marketing.
Strategic fit: Phase 1, the lead. Libra searches climb toward roughly 2,400 in September and we are publishing in August. Product already has pins, so this deepens rather than fills.

Why it converts: difficulty 1 out of 100 against 154 competing shops is the lowest-friction door in our entire keyword bank, and no seller is tagging the phrase. Complete and distinct metadata is Tailwind's single strongest predictor of a high-traffic pin Tier 2, and this pin has its own title, description and alt text.
Strategic fit: Phase 2, one pin a day. Aseasonal, so it runs all year. Loses 4 points because one product means one destination link, and our 7-day link-spacing rule cannot hold at a pin a day until a Heartbeat collection page exists.

Why it converts: it fills a genuine hole. Scorpio has nothing scheduled in September, and its demand peaks in September and November. Board relevance is a documented Pinterest distribution driver and this lands on a board named for the phrase Tier 1.
Strategic fit: Phase 1, from 8 Sep. Covers a product with zero pins today — one of the five in-season signs whose heart bar has never been pinned. Loses 8 points on difficulty 54, which is above our winnable line of 35.
Not weighted. Pass or fail, checked first, because a compliance breach on a live pin costs more than any reach it could win.

The previous sweep matched every queue image against known spec-card designs by fingerprint, found five, and declared the queue clean at zero overlay. That was wrong. Fingerprint matching only finds designs you already know about.
Tonight I built a contact sheet of all 77 live queue images and looked at them. Eight carry baked-in text.

Standing method from now on: build the contact sheet and read it. It takes two minutes and it is the only check that catches a design nobody has catalogued.
Resolves, returns 200, lands on the exact product in the picture.
Tier 1 Pinterest's guidelines forbid redirecting pins and require no surprises on destinations. Heaviest because every other point exists to produce this click. A wrong link makes the pin worth zero, not less.
Tier 2 Our own controlled test, 7 Aug: same account, same setup, the tagged Virgo pin renders $39.00 and a Visit button, the untagged Aster pin renders neither. Strongest evidence we own. Tier 1 Pinterest's 70% shopping-intent figure — vendor marketing, no method published. All 77 queued pins are tagged.
Not proven: tagging three finishes gives one price row, not a browsable carousel.
Tier 2 Our own live search, 7 Aug: zero of the top 24 organic results for "zodiac necklace" carry a text overlay. The only overlay was a paid placement. Tier 1 Pinterest applies a 4% black tint to image pins on near-white backgrounds, worth knowing before shooting on white.
Caveat: Caitlyn Minimalist uses designed collages profitably. This rule is right for our search-intent pins; it is not a law.
Tier 2 Tailwind, March 2026: "Prepare complete metadata for every Pin. Title, description, and alt text. Our data shows this is the strongest predictor of high-traffic Pins." Tier 1 Pinterest names duplicate titles, descriptions and URLs as the spam signal.
Where we stand: 45 distinct titles, 48 descriptions and 35 alt strings across 77 pins. Our largest quality gap.

Tier 2 Tailwind: "Multiple genuinely different images pointing at the same URL DO each count as fresh." Explicitly not fresh: same image with only the words changed. Tier 1 Pinterest's enforcement expands one decision to "machine-identified matching Pins" — a real hazard for near-identical jewelry shots.
Where we stand: five products hold 38 of 77 pins, 49% of the queue.
Tier 1 Pinterest states there is no limit and recommends weekly originals. Tier 2 Tailwind says 1–5 a day — and contradicts itself two days apart with 15–25. The contradiction is the honest answer, so this is weighted low. Tier 3 "25 a day is safe" is folklore, contradicted by Pinterest directly.
Tier 1 "Images and videos are both shared evenly on Pinterest." Format is never named in the distribution drivers. Organic video 15 to 60 seconds, 9:16. Tier 3 "The algorithm favours motion" appears in one of our own older plans. It is folklore and directly contradicted.
Tier 3, deliberately. Pinterest has never published a lead-time claim; its discovery framework names relevance, quality, freshness and domain reputation, and seasonality is not among them. The nearest support is Sprout Social advising 45+ days ahead Tier 2 — advice, not a study. What is evidenced is the demand curve, not the lead time. Weighted at 2 because a pin should not score highly for obeying a convention we invented.

Our pin copy already matches Caitlyn Minimalist. The gap is not craft — it is shelving, coverage and order.
Our 77 live pins average 458 characters of description. Every single one lands inside her 420–550 band. Our titles average 57 characters; hers run 40–60. We arrived at her formula and it works.
What separates us is that she has 17 named shelves and no empty ones, and we have 14 shelves of which 5 are empty; she writes each pin once and we repeat ourselves 32 times out of 77; and our season is running backwards.
Our figures computed from the live Tailwind queue on 7 Aug 2026. Hers read from her live profile logged-in on 6 Aug 2026 and not re-verified tonight — a live re-read timed out. Her board count and the "no empty boards" observation are from that pass.
Three separate documents in our folder recommend rewriting pin descriptions to be longer and to follow the four-part shape. That work is done. Every one of the 77 live pins is in the band. Any future session proposing a "description length fix" is solving a solved problem and would spend credits doing it.
Yes. One thing, and it is not a Pinterest feature — it is a lane we are not using.
The plan spends 290 credits to improve 290 pins. Our automatic catalogue produces roughly 2,844 pins and earns 4,760 of our 5,275 impressions. Improving those costs zero credits, and we have never done it because one question has gone unanswered since 6 August.
Which Shopify field lands in the Pinterest catalogue description? Pinterest publishes no field mapping for the Shopify app and says nothing about metafields. I searched again tonight and it is still not documented anywhere public. It has been logged as an open question since 6 Aug and never resolved.
It matters because the catalogue description is the field Pinterest reads for relevance on the 2,844 pins that are actually earning our impressions. Right now those pins carry whatever Shopify happened to send. Our four-part formula is not in them.
It is answerable in about fifteen minutes and costs nothing: change one product's Shopify description to a marked string, wait for the daily ingest, then read that product's catalogue entry and see whether the marker appears. One product, one day, no credits, and it unlocks a lever roughly ten times larger than the credit budget.
Pinterest states plainly: "We'll create a new pin for every additional image link", up to 10 per product, through the additional_image_link catalogue field. That is Pinterest-sanctioned pin multiplication driven entirely by the Shopify feed. It needs no credits, no Tailwind, and no Pinterest API token — which matters because our token is dead.
Our own notes closed this as "already satisfied" on arithmetic: 2,844 pins divided by 261 items is 10.9, against a maximum of 11. But the same note concedes 261 × 9.4 is about 2,448, which does not close to 2,844. Nobody has actually looked at the automatic catalogue board. One visual check settles it.
Pinterest Engineering published its production Model Context Protocol work in April 2026, and there are open-source Pinterest MCP servers on GitHub. I looked because our Pinterest API is dead and an MCP route would be a way around it.
It is not. Pinterest's own MCP servers are internal engineering tools — Presto, Spark, Airflow — not a merchant surface. The open-source ones are thin wrappers over the Pinterest API v5, which is exactly the thing that is dead for us: our app is Trial tier with no write scopes, and re-authorising does not change that. An MCP wrapper around a dead API is still a dead API.
Worth recording so no future session spends an evening rediscovering it.

Relevance to us: near zero. Every one of them is either an ads product or an enterprise platform integration. We are on Shopify, we are not spending on ads, and the $100 ad credit is still gated behind proving the conversion tag fires. Nothing here changes the plan.
The current crop of "Pinterest algorithm 2026" articles converges on a handful of claims. They are worth naming because they sound authoritative and they contradict Pinterest's own documentation.

The one place the blogs and the primary sources agree is cadence, and our plan already sits inside it. Nothing else in that literature changes a line.
Both its documents are on disk and its audit page is live. I have read them and reconciled. Every headline number matches what I computed independently — 55 zero-pin products, 24 ring products with one pinned, 8 images with baked-in text, five products holding about half the queue, the inverted season.
Four of our documents state that the automatic catalogue produced "3 of our 4" or "all 4" outbound clicks, and the whole catalogue-first framing rests on it. None of them is supportable. The product-group table sums to 6 clicks against an account total of 4, and 7,120 impressions against 5,275 — the groups are nested, not separate.
Why it matters here: if the catalogue earned 4 of 4, hand-written pins are worthless. If it earned 3 of 4, hand-written pins are about 3.1× better per impression and the catalogue only looks dominant because it has nine times the reach. We do not know which. I am not going to pretend the 290-credit plan is validated by data we do not have. It is justified on principle — keyword-matched shelving, spread across the catalogue, correct season order — not on a click comparison we cannot make.
At four clicks a month, no measurement we run will settle it soon. Detecting a 50% effect needs roughly 52 clicks per side, which is about thirteen months per side at current volume. That is the honest constraint on the whole programme, and it argues for the free catalogue lane above rather than for more credits.
Computed tonight from the live queue: our descriptions average 458 characters and all 77 fall inside Caitlyn Minimalist's 420–550 band. Titles average 57 against her 40–60.
Three documents in the folder still carry a "rewrite the descriptions, they are too short" action. That is done and should be closed. Acting on it now would spend credits re-solving a solved problem — and because a scheduled pin cannot be edited, the only way to act on it is delete and recreate at two credits a pin.
Approve the 290-credit plan unchanged, and add two free checks to Phase 0: the catalogue description mapping test and a visual look at the automatic catalogue board. If the mapping works, we improve 2,844 pins for nothing while the 290 credits do their separate job.
A reference card for whoever picks this up next, human or agent. Written so nobody has to ask Kayla something the folder already answers.

There is a decoy at ~/MemoryThatLasts-Ops. Never read it, never write it. It has caused real damage, and at least one runbook still points at it.
The folder is set to Keep Downloaded, so every file is local. A failed read is a path typo, not a cloud stub. No session should ever stall on this or ask Kayla to fetch a file.

Run mtl-pin-page-refresh.sh in the Ops folder. It pulls Pinterest and Tailwind live, rebuilds every tab and deploys to all three Pages projects. It is read only against every live surface and spends no credits.
It also runs on its own inside the Monday Pinterest readout and the Friday rubric task.
